A fraudster from Russia blackmails Ukrainian businessmen through social networks

A scandal on the Russian internet has uncovered another threat to Ukraine. Russian con artists are reportedly blackmailing wealthy Ukrainians. To become a victim of these criminal women, you don’t even need to be acquainted with them.

Russian woman Nataliya Kalinina operates through Instagram under her username @kalininanatalya. Her photos and self-presentations create the image of a successful designer with 200,000 followers. Thousands of likes on her posts, attractive appearance, an expensive entourage. Overall, the success story of a woman in design.

However, recently Kalinina complained that men who liked her photos might face warnings from a whole crowd of detractors. Kalinina added a list of these enemies and urged men not to believe what might be said about her.

This unusual behavior intrigued us, and we conducted our own investigation into the reasons that prompted a seemingly successful Russian designer to assure people that they might hear something bad about her.

What we found shocked us, and it was later confirmed by Ukrainian businessmen.

The triple life of the ‘Russian designer’

Online, there were websites where a woman who calls herself ‘designer Nataliya Kalinina’ has been appearing for years as a lady of elite escort.

For example, the site Topescortbabes.com, where wealthy men can buy themselves a compliant and non-inflatable doll, offers someone named ‘Milla’. This ‘Milla’ claims to be Ukrainian, supposedly living in Monte-Carlo, and offers her services at a price of 500 euros per hour (cheaper in bulk, but still expensive). The face of ‘Milla’ is that of ‘Natalia Kalinina’, though not as demure as on the ‘designer’ site.

On another site ‘Nataliya Kalinina’ shared her views on paid sex:

“A man pays for a vacation, and in return receives unforgettable sensations in life. Everything a passionate woman at the peak of her beauty can offer him, he will receive.”

It would seem there is nothing special in this. A beautiful woman could afford to combine the hobby of a clothing designer and an elite escort girl. If there is demand, why not feel like a woman and make money at the same time.

However, it’s not so simple.

There are also reviews on the internet from people who call themselves former employees of Nataliya Kalinina. Beyond the usual material claims to the management and complaints about rudeness, specific allegations were made against Natalia Kalinina. For example, these people claimed they were afraid of angry men who tried to find out from them the whereabouts of Kalinina.

Incidentally, it turned out that Kalinina (also Kalyinskaya, as she calls herself on another bohemian site) is not the real surname of Instagram clothing designer @kalininanatalya. Her real name is Puzyryova Nataliya, and she was born in Dushanbe, Tajikistan in 1977.

The aggrieved employees of Kalinina-Puzyryova claimed that angry men complained of being blackmailed by their employer. Fear for their health was the last straw, leading them to flee Kalinina.

The search for reasons behind the accusations of Kalinina’s blackmailing brought shocking details. Allegedly, Kalinina makes online acquaintances with wealthy men, then tries to entice them into sex, and afterward doesn’t want to leave, beginning to blackmail them with exposure, while also threatening them with her connections in Russia’s political elite, up to Putin.

No one believes her stories about amorous activities with Putin, considering them signs of mental illness, but tales about Kalinina being protected by officials might be true.

The third layer: blackmailing unknown men

We inquired from Ukrainian businessmen frequently on social networks if they knew of such a prostitute as Russian designer Nataliya Kalinina, Kalyinskaya, or Puzyryova.

Most of those we spoke to did not know of such a woman or did not want to talk about her. But there were those who had encountered her.

The picture painted from eyewitness accounts was alarming.

It turned out that Nataliya Kalinina-Kalyinskaya-Puzyryova, etc., first makes acquaintances with men on an elite escort site or in foreign hotels. Easily getting close to men, the beautiful woman quickly transitions to bedroom scenes, seemingly not demanding anything beyond the agreed payment or gifts. She is convenient and pleasant to be around.

During these relationships, she begins to familiarize herself with her lover’s contacts in social networks. Thanks to this trick, she is perceived as an almost familiar person.

Then she sends her virtual interlocutor her erotic photos and hints at a meeting.

If the meeting occurs, it escalates into blackmail. Breaking up with this lady, businessmen say, is very difficult.

Even worse is that blackmail was experienced by wealthy individuals completely unfamiliar with Kalinina. A few erotic photos to a personal mailbox, a proposal to meet, refusal and hacked social media accounts – such a reality was recounted under anonymity by an affected Kyiv businessman.

“She hacked my accounts. Didn’t find anything incriminating, but showed me photos from there and stated that it wouldn’t be hard for her to add anything she wanted if I didn’t “negotiate” with her! She has, you see, a good photographer and with the help of Photoshop, they will make any evidence they want! I’ve never seen such audacity! She only let go after I told her that Ukraine is not Russia, and we’ll mark her in the international fraudsters’ database through Interpol, so she won’t get anywhere beyond Buryatia,” our source shared their unpleasant experience.

Coincidentally or not, but among the businessmen affected by this individual, there isn’t a single one who is clearly pro-Ukrainian politically. However, expecting political inclinations from a prostitute might be unreasonable. So, it’s likely a coincidence.

Our experts in law enforcement noticed that prostitutes, even elite ones, typically lack hacking skills to break into social networks.

And for clothing designers, hacking and blackmail are also unusual. Most likely, in their opinion, some criminal groups or someone else might be behind Kalinina-Puzyryova.

One must recognize that social networks and hackers within them have become an entirely new threat to Ukrainian businessmen. Not every entrepreneur has the ingenuity and resources to block an agent of an unknown structure in Russia via Interpol.

Such a turn, where an unfamiliar woman, pleasant in every aspect, can hack into your social networks and blackmail you with a connection, even if you’ve never seen her, is something Ukrainian business is not prepared for.
