Who shot the People’s Deputy Urbanskyi? Details of the conflict

In the evening of May 7, Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Urbanskyi from the BPP was injured at the "Khutorok u Ziny" hotel in Odesa region.

The conflict occurred at 9:20 PM at the "Khutorok u Ziny" hotel, reports UAportal.

The victim’s brother, the head of the Odesa Regional Council Anatoliy Urbanskyi, told the publication "Dumskaya" that the quarrel arose because the hotel director started harassing Oleksandr Urbanskyi’s wife.

"My brother was shot. The attack is not related to parliamentary activities: my brother stood up for his wife, to whom the director of the private hotel started with insults. My brother went there with his wife at the invitation of friends. A shot from a traumatic weapon was fired into his leg, resulting in a penetrating wound," Anatoliy Urbanskyi said.

At the same time, "Censor.net" writes that the hotel owner fired the shot: "The hotel owner, a local resident citizen Z., wounded Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Urbanskyi in the lower limb with a shot from a traumatic weapon."

According to journalists, "Khutorok u Ziny" belongs to the former head of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District State Administration Volodymyr Zinchenko. He headed the district in 2010 and was dismissed after a corruption scandal.

Currently, the police are conducting an investigation and searching for the weapon used to shoot the MP.
