Former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Hohilashvili complained about "strong emotional pressure" in his previous position and the inability to "vent" it. He also stated that in 2019 there was an attempt on his life - his car was shot at.
Because of this, there was a threat to the family of the ex-official of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and since then he has lived in constant emotional tension, which could have caused him to behave unexpectedly aggressively. Hohilashvili said this in an interview with the publication "Babel".
"Understand, I wasn’t selling donuts at the market. It was millions of dollars. I crossed paths with so many people in this country who are still trading drugs," Hohilashvili explained. Let us remind you that while working in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he fought against drug-related crimes.
He also spoke about the Russian trace of threats to his person. According to Hohilashvili, this concerns the organization "Khimprom," associated with one of the largest clans engaged in the production and sale of drugs.
"The ’Khimprom’ settled here - these are citizens of Russia who produce and trade amphetamine in huge quantities," he said.
Hohilashvili said that if it were possible to detain members of "Khimprom" in Ukraine, it would be possible to disrupt 60% of the amphetamine traffic in the country. However, this is not easy because "everything is intertwined, different organizations, different people were covering for them, receiving money."
