Andriy Hmyrin, who was referred to as the "overseer" of the fiscal authorities from the President’s Office, has his devoted assistant Oleksandr Kucherenko, whom he always "dragged" along with him (State Property Fund).
The "difficult path" of Kucherenko in the struggle for the chair of the head of the State Tax Service (the dream didn’t come true).
Finally, Hmyrin employed him in the BES, under the wing of Vadym Melnyk, whom he controls himself.
In 2013, Melnyk, together with Hmyrin, worked in the Ministry of Revenues and Duties under Oleksandr Klymenko. Melnyk was the head of the financial investigations department, and Hmyrin led the department of the Main Department of the Security Service.
But why does a former MIA employee and tax policeman have such privileges in appointing people?
It’s because Andriy Hmyrin is associated with Serhiy Shefir, who has significant influence at the top.
Thus, all Hmyrin’s friends are employed in the BES.
