Oleksandr Marikovskyi, a member of the Servant of the People party, was served with a notice of suspicion of unreliable declaration of cryptocurrency worth over UAH 24 million.
This was reported by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and Anti-Corruption Center.
According to the investigation, in 2020, the “servant” declared cryptocurrency with a market value of more than UAH 24 million, which apparently belonged to him since 2019.
NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office found that the cryptocurrency wallet indicated by the people’s deputy never actually belonged to him.
And the transactions for the acquisition of the cryptocurrency specified in the annual declaration were carried out by citizens of another state who have no relation to the declarant.
“The value of the crypto-asset, which was deliberately falsely declared by the suspect, is estimated by experts at UAH 24.6 million,” NABU said.
