Syrskyi announced personnel changes among brigade commanders

In some combat brigades, personnel changes were made among commanders. This was done in order to preserve the life and health of the defenders.

This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi on Telegram.

He noted that he continues to work on the eastern front. As the commander-in-chief emphasized, the situation at the front remains difficult, but controllable.

“Within three days, it became clear why, in the case of the same levels of personnel, weapons and military equipment, some brigades manage to restrain enemy attacks and hold positions, while others do not,” the commander-in-chief noted.

According to Syrskyi, combat capabilities, first of all, depend on the brigade commander, his level of training, experience, and ability to make adequate and informed decisions. The level of training and coherence of the brigade headquarters is of great importance.

“Therefore, I sent groups of specialists to individual brigades where there are problems with the preparation of headquarters to transfer experience and assistance,” the commander said.

After reports from brigade commanders and their deputies, decisions were made to provide reserves, ammunition, drones and other equipment.

“In some cases, when the commander does not control the situation, and actions and commands directly create a threat to the life and health of subordinates, I am forced to make personnel decisions,” Syrskyi emphasized.

The commander-in-chief noted the soldiers of the 54th mechanized brigade, who, with well-aimed artillery fire, combined with competent mining, destroyed two columns of enemy armored vehicles. Syrskyi also thanked the soldiers of the 25th infantry brigade, the 47th infantry brigade and the 79th airborne brigade.

“I note as positive the replacement of one brigade at the front line after two years of continuous fighting and moving to the rear to restore combat capability,” he added.
