Evacuation in Sumy region
In the Sumy region, they decided to carry out a forced evacuation of children and their parents or guardians in three communities in the region. Volodymyr Artyukh stated this during the telethon.

This issue was considered at a meeting of the Regional Defence Council, and two more communities in the Shostkinskyi district, where there is also a threat to children... Colleagues from other regions have already suggested to us where children can be accommodated with their families. This process is underway.” , - he said.
Rescuers are helping to evacuate border residents in the Sumy region. So on March 17 alone, 256 people were taken out of Velyka Pysarivka, including 26 children.
“After the alert, rescuers helped citizens, along with their personal belongings, get placed in evacuation vehicles. State Emergency Service employees also met people who had arrived from the border area to a safer place,” the message says.
