The German Ministry of the Interior assured that the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to temporarily suspend the provision of consular services for male citizens aged 18 to 60 years abroad will not affect the status of refugees in Germany.
“I am confident that this will not affect the status of refugees from Ukraine in need of protection, regardless of whether we are talking about women, who constitute the vast majority of such refugees, or men,” the official representative emphasized on Wednesday, April 24 German Interior Ministry Maximilian Kall, answering questions from a DW correspondent.
