The situation in the Bakhmut direction is very difficult, the Russian artillery does not subside.
Russian occupation forces are trying to capture Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region before May 9. Therefore, the enemy throws all his forces into the attack. Deputy commander of the Achilles BpAk battalion of the 92nd Special Brigade, Oles Malyarevych , said on Public Radio that the Defence Forces are destroying everything that is “moving in the direction of the city.”
According to him, several brigades are working on this section of the front, including the 92nd separate assault brigade. His brigade provides air cover for his brothers to prevent the invaders from capturing the city.
"They have been tasked with capturing the city by 9 May, and we have been tasked with preventing them from doing so. The enemy has no territorial successes. They are stopped in the area of Bohdanivka, in the area of Ivanivske. To the south - Klishchiyivka and Andriyivka, they also tried to seize the territory, several positions were lost there, but the 92nd Brigade regained their positions the day before yesterday," said Malyarevych.
According to the military, the situation in the Bakhmut sector is very difficult and Russian artillery is still active, but the number of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles has decreased.
"They are really doing everything possible to capture at least something along the canal line and even a little further," said the deputy commander.
He also commented on rumours that the enemy had captured several dominant heights. Malyarevych stressed that this is not true, and that such information is spread by bloggers and journalists who want to "publish an insider".
"Apparently, they want sensations. There is a village nearby, Novyi Chasiv Yar, on the other side of the canal, near Chasiv Yar. Several enemy assault groups reached there and were destroyed at the same moment. But for some reason, bloggers decided to say that the Russians were in Chasiv Yar. They were there, but for a short time, they did not reach the heights," the military explained.
