In Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhya region, temporarily captured by Russian troops, on the evening of Thursday, May 2, explosions were heard. According to preliminary data, the arrival was at the Dormash plant, where the Russian occupiers were stationed.
Information about the explosion in the Koloniya microdistrict was confirmed by the Berdyansk city military administration on Facebook. A fire started on the spot.
“There is a fire in Berdyansk. At about 20:20, residents of Berdyansk heard an explosion, after which the fire flared up locally in the Koloniya microdistrict. We are waiting for updated information,” the message says.
The Berdyansk Today Telegram channel wrote that ambulances were sent to the scene of the fire.
“Berdyansk residents wrote on social networks that it was loud. After which a fire started. Firefighters and ambulances headed to the site. Previously, it was repeatedly reported that in the Colony, on the territory of the Dormash plant, the invaders set up a base for repairing military equipment,” the resource noted.
Advisor to the mayor of occupied Mariupol Petro Andryushchenko also noted that the epicenter of the explosion was in the area of the Dormash plant, where the occupiers were located.
At the same time, the Russian occupiers did not declare a missile threat in the city, and propagandists are spreading theories that “the reeds are burning.”
