On the evening of Thursday, 2 May, Russian occupation forces fired on the village of Novooosynove, Kupyansk district, Kharkiv region. A 66-year-old man was killed as a result of the enemy attack.
This was announced by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Administrative Court Oleh Syniehubov. The details were also provided by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
The occupants started the shelling at around 19:00.
"A 66-year-old man was killed on the territory of a private household as a result of the hostile shelling of Novooosynove village in Kupyansk district at 19:00," Sinehubov said.
The attack also damaged private houses and outbuildings in the village.
Under the procedural supervision of the Kupyansk District Prosecutor’s Office in Kharkiv region, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Prosecutors and police investigators are doing everything possible to document war crimes committed by representatives of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.
