HACC imposed a measure of restraint on ex-deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Smyrnov


The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) chose a preventive measure in the form of bail for the former deputy head of the Presidential Office Andriy Smyrnov, suspected of illegal enrichment of 15.7 million hryvnia.

This is reported by the media.

The court supported the request of the SAPO prosecutor and chose a preventive measure for Smyrnov in the amount of UAH 10 million bail.

The suspect has the following procedural duties:

respond to every request from the detective, prosecutor and court; do not leave the city of Kyiv without the permission of the detective, prosecutor and court; inform the detective, prosecutor and court about changes in your place of residence and place of work; refrain from communicating with witnesses in the case; deposit with the relevant government authority your passport/passports for traveling abroad, other documents giving the right to leave Ukraine and enter Ukraine.

Bail must be paid no later than five days from the day the preventive measure is chosen. The duration of the duties assigned to the suspect is until July 28.

In a comment to Public, Smyrnov said that he would challenge the court’s decision on bail and other restrictions.
