Germany allocated a new aid package to Ukraine: IRIS-T, HIMARS and armored vehicles


Germany has allocated a new package of military assistance for Ukraine. It includes IRIS-T air defence systems, HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems and Leopard 1 tanks.

The German government reports this.

The new assistance package includes:

10 Leopard 1A1 tanks and ammunition for them; 20 Marder tracked infantry vehicles and ammunition; IRIS-T SLM medium-range anti-aircraft missile system; short-range anti-aircraft missile system IRIS-T SLS; three HIMARS rocket artillery systems; two BEAVER bridge laying machines two Dachs armored engineering vehicles; armored repair and recovery vehicle Bergepanzer 2; 4 Wisent 1 mine clearing vehicles with spare parts; 16 tankers.

Also in the new aid package, Germany will donate ammunition, small arms and 4 million rounds of ammunition, means for demining and projectile disposal, boats, three AMPS systems for protecting helicopters, as well as IT equipment.
