The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to significantly reduce the list of consumers who will not be disconnected from electricity in order to distribute energy limits more evenly and reduce the duration of outages for other consumers. This solution will expand the circle of consumers covered by stabilization shutdown schedules and reduce their duration.
Yuriy Boyko, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine on Energy, said this in an interview with Kyiv 24 . According to him, a corresponding decision could be made tomorrow.
Yuriy Boyko noted that work to optimize the list of consumers with guaranteed power supply is already at the final stage. “Currently, work is at the final stage to optimize the list of consumers with guaranteed electricity supply. Based on the results of this work, the list should be significantly reduced. This will make it possible to distribute the electric energy limit more evenly,” he said.
The introduction of new rules will expand the circle of consumers covered by stabilization shutdown schedules and at the same time reduce the duration of such shutdowns. “I expect that a decision on this matter will be made tomorrow,” Boyko added.
