On the night of June 27, strong explosions were heard over Mariupol. They were also heard over Berdyansk and Melitopol.
This was reported in the Telegram of Advisor to the Mayor of Mariupol Petro Andryushchenko.
“At about 3:00 there were explosions over Mariupol,” he said.
According to Andryushchenko, explosions were heard in all areas of the city, and a “shot down” was reported over the Cheremushki microdistrict of the Prymorskyi district.
“Explosions were also heard over Berdyansk and Melitopol,” added the mayor’s adviser.
He added that the consequences and details are being established.
“But so far the impression is that these are Russian air defense attempts to intercept air targets before entering the Azov Sea or Russian territory,” the official added.
