The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence supported the extension of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine, People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak said on Tuesday.
“The Defense Committee supported two presidential decrees for approval by parliament:
On the extension of martial law; On the extension of general mobilization.FOR – 13 votes, unanimously,” Zheleznyak wrote on Telegram.
According to him, the next step is to get 226+ votes in the Verkhovna Rada. After which the documents must be signed by the president.
Earlier it was reported that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy introduced bills to the Verkhovna Rada proposing to extend martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine from August 12 for 90 days.
