"Diya" began to report the reasons for refusal to re-register cars

Users began receiving automatic notifications about the specific reason for refusal to re-register cars in the Diya mobile application.

This was reported by the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The possibility of buying and selling (re-registering) cars in the Diya mobile application appeared in December 2023. Through this application you can buy and sell not only cars, but also motorcycles and mopeds. This service can be used once a year to avoid abuse by car resellers. Currently, more than 140 thousand vehicles have already been re-registered with Diya.

But not all Ukrainians can buy or sell a car through Diya. They may be refused, for example, due to the fact that the vehicle is wanted, because the seller or buyer is wanted, as well as due to open enforcement proceedings (for example, due to fines for violations not being paid on time traffic regulations).

Previously, the system simply refused to re-register cars through Diya, without specifying any reasons. The reason for the refusal could be found out directly at the territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The system has now started sending automatic messages indicating the specific reason for the refusal. After eliminating it, you can re-register the vehicle through Diya or at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

What are the main reasons for refusal to re-register vehicles through Diya? According to the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the main reasons are the following: the vehicle is on the international wanted list of Interpol, the vehicle or license plate is wanted by the Ukrainian police, the buyer or seller is wanted by the police, the vehicle registration certificate or passport has been lost, enforcement proceedings have been opened against the seller, Ministry of Justice prohibited the alienation of property, the vehicle is material evidence in a criminal case.
