SBI may serve suspicions on MoD officials in case against Hrynkevychs

In the SBI case on Roman Hrynkevych’s suspicion of supplying low-quality military uniforms ordered by the Ministry of Defence, the investigation is preparing to serve notices of suspicion on MoD officials.

This was reported by Economic News .

The material says that the prosecutor announced this in the hall of one of the court hearings to review the preventive measure against the suspect. The names and number of the indicated defendants from the MOU were not announced by the prosecution.

The publication notes that it is not about one person, but about a group of people who probably acted as an organised group within the Ministry itself. At the same time, Ekonomichni Novyny reminds that for more than 7 months there have been no other defendants in the so-called Hrynkevych case, except for Hrynkevych himself and representatives of the MoD’s suppliers.

The article says that from the very beginning, there was talk that such a deal worth billions of hryvnias could not be implemented without the approval of the Ministry’s leadership.

After all, if the Hrynkevychs were selling low-quality uniforms, then someone in the Ministry of Defence had to pay for them. The SBI, in turn, claims losses of at least one billion hryvnias, journalists write.
