NACP launches verification of MP Andriy Zhupanyn’s declaration who travelled to London

The deputy regularly visits London, despite the ban on the departure of deputies from the country in Ukraine.

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has begun a full audit of the declaration for 2023 of the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Andriy Zhupanyn. NAPC reported this in response to a request from the Komersant Ukrainian publication.

MP from the Servant of the People party Andriy Zhupanyn found himself at the center of a scandal due to his regular trips to London during the full-scale war in Ukraine. A journalistic investigation by Bihus.Info found that the deputy quite often visits the British capital, where he often spends time with his wife and lives in luxury apartments with an estimated cost of more than £5,000 per month.

It was emphasized that Zhupanin regularly visits London, despite the ban in Ukraine on the departure of deputies from the country on non-state affairs, introduced by the National Security and Defense Council in January 2023.

Andrey Zhupanin, according to his income statement, rents an apartment in Kyiv for 240 thousand UAH per year. The state compensates him for these funds.

At the same time, Zhupanina’s wife has had her own apartment in Kyiv since 2018, which the politician also notes in his declaration.
