On the night of August 3, air defence shot down 24 Russian drones out of 29 launched.
The commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, announced this on Telegram .
The enemy launched a strike with two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the occupied territory of the Donetsk region, and two Kh-31P anti-radar missiles from the airspace over the Black Sea.
The enemy also launched 29 Shahed-type attack UAVs from Cape Chauda in Crimea, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk in Russia.
The air attack was repelled by mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, anti-aircraft missile forces and electronic warfare units of the Air Force.
"As a result of the air battle, 24 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs were shot down in Kherson, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Vinnytsia and Zhytomyr regions."
