Ukraine has drawn on emergency power supply from Poland over the past 24 hours, - Ministry of Energy

In Ukraine, as of the morning of August 10, 491 populated areas remain without power due to military action and technical failures; power engineers have restored power supply to another 4,713 consumers.

The Ministry of Energy reported this.

"No power outages are planned for Saturday, August 10. Power engineers continue to keep the situation in the power grid stable," the statement said.

It is noted that over the past 24 hours, emergency power supply from Poland was used; no electricity exports are taking place or are expected.

"Due to massive Russian attacks on the Ukrainian energy system, 9 GW of generating capacity was lost. The enemy continues to shell energy infrastructure, substations and power lines come under fire every day, which leads to restrictions in the transmission of electricity," the ministry noted and assured that energy companies are making every effort to keep the situation stable.

The Ministry of Energy asks citizens to use electricity rationally and economically, especially during peak hours – from 7:00 to 11:00 and from 17:00 to 22:00. This helps the energy system to operate stably.

Due to bad weather, four settlements in the Kyiv and Kirovohrad regions were without power this morning.

In Donetsk region, as a result of military actions, high-voltage substations, household consumers, and the railway were de-energized (there were no disruptions to train traffic). Power supply for all consumers has been restored.

In the Zaporizhzhya region, fragments of a drone were found at one of the substations after the shelling. The substation and household consumers were de-energized.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, substations and household consumers were de-energized due to technological failures. Power was restored using a backup scheme.

In Mykolaiv region, as a result of technological violations, equipment at the substation and household consumers were de-energized. Power has been restored.

In Ternopil Oblast, substations and household consumers were de-energized due to technological failures. Power has been restored for all consumers.

The water level in the cooling pond is 14.71 m. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the station.
