Today, 74 settlements in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation are under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on Facebook following a conversation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky.
"I am in constant contact with Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi: reports on the front and our operation in the Kursk region. Despite the difficult, intense battles, the advance of our forces in the Kursk region continues, the exchange fund for our state is replenished," the head of state noted.
According to him, inspections and stabilization measures are currently being carried out in the settlements taken under control, and humanitarian solutions for these territories are being developed.
President expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian defenders for their heroic service.
He said that preparations for Ukraine’s next steps are ongoing.
