In the de-occupied Kherson region, sappers have already cleared 50% of the territory of mines.
This was reported by the deputy head of the Kherson RMA, Olha Malarchuk, during a briefing .
“Since the start of demining the right-bank part of the Kherson region, 50%, or 342 thousand hectares, have already been surveyed and cleared of Russian explosives,” noted Malarchuk.
She reported that 169 groups of explosive experts are working on demining the region - about 860 demining specialists from various departments. After deoccupation, they destroyed more than 195 thousand mines, tripwires and other dangerous objects left by the Russian army.
In particular, Malarchuk said, 3,900 kilometers of roads, 2,200 kilometers of power lines, 150 kilometers of gas pipelines, almost 390 kilometers of railway tracks and about 17,500 civilian objects were inspected.
