In Ukraine, the cost of gasoline will increase by 10 UAH, diesel fuel by 11 UAH, and the price of liquefied gas will increase by 600 UAH per cylinder if President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signs the bill on increasing the excise tax on fuel.
This was reported by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Tax and Customs Policy Nina Yuzhanina on air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels.
Rising prices for petrol, diesel and liquefied gas
— This bill provides for four stages of increase. Gasoline will become more expensive by 10 UAH, diesel fuel — by 11 UAH. And the price of liquefied gas will increase in such a way that people, 700 thousand households, who previously bought a cylinder for 1.2 thousand UAH, will now be forced to pay 1.8 thousand UAH, — said Nina Yuzhanina.
She expressed concern that despite the fact that the increase will occur in stages, it will have a negative impact on farmers due to the new excise taxes.
— Did you know that many farmers actively use liquefied gas? They install special installations in the fields, since it is impossible to supply natural gas there for safety reasons. Drying processes and other technical operations take place there, — she specified. At the same time, Nina Yuzhanina noted that it is necessary to seek a compromise with the International Monetary Fund after the presentation of the relevant bill, otherwise it could negatively affect relations with international partners.
It recently became known that the people’s deputies did not support the resolutions that blocked the signing of bill No. 11256-2 by the head of parliament and the president, concerning the increase in the excise tax on fuel.
