Activities of UNIGRAN belonging to the sanctioned Russian oligarch Naumets are once again being attempted to be unblocked

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, by Decree of August 21, 2024, No. 511/2024, enacted the decision of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine on sanctions against Ihor Naumets and Olena Kalpa, the owners of subsoil user companies from the UNIGRAN group.

Reported by NADRA.INFO with reference to the newly published Decree.

Specifically, the NSDC amended the decision of May 12, 2023, clarifying that restrictions in the form of annulment/suspension of special permits do not apply to special permits No. 634, No. 766, No. 1601, No. 6136, issued for the use of subsoil by JSC "Korosten Quarry," JSC "Malynskyi Stone Crushing Plant," and PJSC "Pynyazevytskyi Quarry."

It can be assumed that the next step will be for the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine to renew the aforementioned special permits, as happened after the first corrective decision of the NSDC in June 2024.
