Wife of man killed in Russian airstrike in Dnipropetrovsk region tells about tragedy


Russian occupation forces launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine on Monday morning, August 26. As a result of enemy shelling of the Dniprovskyi district, a 69-year-old man who worked as a plumber was killed.

His wife Valentyna told how she learned of the terrible news. The corresponding video was published by "Dnipro Operatyvnyi".

"I called him on the phone, he had to go home from work. He didn’t pick up the phone. Then I got a message saying "I’ll call you back", but he doesn’t know how to write messages. And then I understood everything...", Valentyna recalls with pain.

On this day, instead of returning home, the man decided to help people with water after the first explosion. However, he died in the second explosion. Valentyna was left without her loved one, lost due to the brutal shelling. The deceased was 69 years old.

It is worth noting that after the night explosions due to the "shahids", in the morning in many cities the sounds of cruise missiles were already heard and ballistic strikes thundered: damage and emergency power outages were reported.
