The day before, on September 1, the Defence Forces had eliminated 1,300 Russian invaders. Thus, by the morning of September 2, Russia’s total combat losses in manpower amounted to about 617,600 people.
Over a hundred units of Russian equipment and weapons were destroyed in 24 hours. The General Staff published details regarding the enemy’s losses.
In total, the enemy lost 122 units of military equipment and weapons the day before.
Over the course of 24 hours, as noted by the General Staff, the Russians lost nine tanks (8,601 destroyed in total), 26 armored combat vehicles (16,786), ten artillery systems (17,646) and one MLRS (1,177).
The enemy did not suffer losses the day before in terms of air defence systems (940), aircraft (368), helicopters (328), cruise missiles (2557) and ships/boats (28). As before, only one Russian submarine was destroyed.
At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed 30 operational-tactical level UAVs (14,537) in one day, 44 cars and tankers (23,925 in total), and two special equipment units (2,993).
