The fighter spoke about the main problems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Pokrovsk direction

According to Firsov, some infantrymen are "simply reminiscent of zombies" due to fatigue.

The situation in the Pokrovsk area of Donetsk region is complicated, this direction requires reinforcement with fresh forces. This was reported on air by the chief sergeant of the company of attack UAVs Yehor Firsov.

In his opinion, the state of affairs is affected by the exhaustion of the Ukrainian infantry and increased pressure from Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction. There are also many factors that one does not want to talk about publicly.

"We report our opinions in detail to the senior command, and I see that the leadership is trying to take everything into account and take measures. But, nevertheless, a lot needs to be changed in tactics and strategy," the military man emphasized.

According to Firsov, the feeling of a certain crisis in the infantry is not caused by a lack of motivation.

"Most of us are from Pokrovsk, from the Donetsk region. In fact, we are defending our home. Therefore, the issue of motivation is always in the first place for us, we react very painfully to any advance of the enemy, because we understand that this is our land and we must do everything to protect it," the soldier emphasized.

He added that it is much more difficult for the infantry, since the military has been under constant fire for many years.

"Sometimes we work with the infantry in their dugouts and we feel that some of the guys are just like zombies, if you can say so. Sorry, but I’m telling it like it is," Firsov noted.

The military man believes that the Pokrovsk direction should be reinforced by other units, separate battalions, and possibly even brigades.

"Maybe a fresher guy, without concussions, in normal health, who has been in the Armed Forces for several months. And there are guys who have been on the front line for three years, from one hot spot to another. They were in Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Mariinka and now somewhere in the Toretsk or Pokrovsk direction. It is very difficult for them physically and mentally, so they are holding on with all their might," he explained.

Firsov noted that the Armed Forces are most vulnerable during rotation, so this process should take place without comments in open sources.

"As for reinforcements, two thousand fighters in the Donetsk region direction is not enough. I would say that at least a brigade is needed for Pokrovsk alone. A brigade is three to four thousand people. But there is a senior command, let it make the decision so that every soldier is not considered a general-commander. Nevertheless, our feeling here is that reinforcements with fresh forces are needed," he added.

The military man acknowledged that there is a certain dilemma between experienced and tired or fresh and inexperienced reinforcements, so senior commanders need to constantly combine forces.

"Inexperienced units need to be transferred to more experienced units. The rotations themselves should not happen in such a way that one brigade completely leaves and another enters. Doing this over the course of two days is wrong. A new unit needs to be introduced gradually. Perhaps, at first, the new unit should be on the second line of defense, stay there for a while, be under fire, and then move to the first line of defence."
