Russians have again launched shelling attacks on Sumy region using various types of weapons, including multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and aircraft. As a result of the shelling, two people were injured, the regional military administration reported on the aftermath of the shelling as of 21:00 on Sunday, September 8.
"During the day, Russians fired 91 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy region. 243 explosions were recorded. The Yunakivska, Miropilska, Sumska, Velykopysarivska, Khotynska, Krasnopilska, Esmanska, Bilopilska, Shalyhinska, Svieska, Berezivska, Novoslobidska, Putivlska, Yampilska, Seredyno-Budska communities were shelled," the statement said.
In the Sumy community, Russians fired from multiple rocket launchers (2 explosions), injuring two civilians.
According to the CMA, in Shalyhyne community, there were attacks by FPV drones (5 explosions), a kamikaze drone (1 explosion), and attacks with MLRS (77 explosions). In Khotynska community - a CAB strike (1 explosion), mortar shelling (2 explosions), in Yunakivska - a CAB strike (2 explosions), a kamikaze drone strike (1 explosion).
In addition, the enemy fired mortars (8 explosions), artillery (10 explosions), a tank (12 explosions), attacked with FPV drones (4 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (12 explosions) in Krasnopilska community.
In the Velykopysarivska community, the Russians struck: FPV drones (6 explosions), artillery (4 explosions), mortars (4 explosions), a kamikaze drone (7 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (15 explosions).
The most intense shelling was also recorded in the communities: Seredyno-Budska - FPV kamikaze drone (10 explosions), FPV drone, artillery shelling (4 explosions); Sveska - CABs (4 explosions), mortar (5 explosions); Esmanska - dropping explosive devices from UAVs (1 explosion) and artillery shelling (2 explosions).
