Zelenskyy invited Trump to visit Ukraine: Trump did not refuse

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has once again invited U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to personally visit Ukraine.

Zelenskyy reported this at a joint press conference after meeting with Trump in New York.

When Trump noted that many people have died in Ukraine, many "beautiful cities" have been ruined, and that it would be extremely difficult to restore them, Zelenskyy inserted a remark: "By the way, you should come and see our cities."

Trump unconfidently responded with "Yes" (I will) and immediately continued his thought, saying that "Ukraine is a wonderful country" and this war should never have happened.

The Republican candidate was also asked whether another meeting between him and Zelenskyy should be expected. He did not rule out such a possibility.

"It’s quite possible, but I think the president has said the most important thing: this is a war that should never have happened," – said Trump.
