In Vovchansk, the ODAB-9000 vacuum bomb was used for the first time.
This was reported by Russian "war correspondents".
A video of the strike was published by pro-military blogger Oleksiy Smyrnov. There has been no official confirmation of this information.
"Vovchansk, it’s being reported that this is the first use of the ODAB-9000," he wrote.
ODAB-9000 is an aviation vacuum bomb of increased power, the unofficial designation of a Russian air bomb with a volumetric explosion. ODAB explodes at a distance of several meters above the ground surface and is equipped with two detonators. The first creates an aerosol cloud, the second ignites this cloud, creating a volumetric explosion.
According to media claims, it is considered the most powerful non-nuclear weapon in the world.
