The Ukrainian made several transfers and Privatbank blocked his cards

A client of the state-owned PrivatBank complained about the blocking of his accounts after making several p2p transfers. According to him, this happened after he sold cryptocurrency, but the buyer "cancelled the bank transfer." At the same time, it is emphasized, the bank itself did not contact the client.

The complaint is posted on theMinistry of Finance portal. According to her:

the client does not engage in p2p transfers on an ongoing basis; he was not directly told whether this was the reason for the account being blocked.

"I was not told the exact reason, but I can guess that it was done due to several p2p transfers the day before. I don’t do this on a permanent basis, I just decided to sell a small amount of cryptocurrency through the exchange. And as I understood, I fell for a scammer, who bought crypto from me and canceled the bank transfer, and of course the bank suspected me of being a fraud," explained the state bank client.

At the same time, he emphasized: PrivatBank did not make any attempts to contact him to find out the details of the situation. Instead, it is noted, he "closed all the accounts, in particular the PE, the next day."

PrivatBank itself responded to the complaint. There they asked the client for his phone number to resolve the situation.
