Russian troops are on the outskirts of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region: they are 3 km from the city. The pressure from the occupying forces in this direction is very serious, and they manage to achieve local successes.
Evacuation of civilians is underway in the city. This was reported on October 30 by the head of the Kupyansk City Military Administration, Andriy Besedin, on the air of Espreso.
According to him, the occupiers are making maximum efforts to advance in the Kupyansk area, and they have local successes.
"There is an issue of reaching the Oskil River in certain areas, as well as approaching and getting close to the city of Kupyansk itself. Currently, we see this distance as 2.5-3 km from the city borders," the official emphasized.
From this distance, the invaders can reach the city center with any weapon they have, including the ability to shell Kupyansk with tanks.
Mandatory evacuation of civilians continues in the city: it started on October 15 in four communities of the Kupiansk district.
