In the trains of "Ukrzaliznytsia," Wi-Fi will appear

The Ukrainian railway is planned to be equipped with wireless internet access. Following high-speed Intercity trains, a connection to the World Wide Web will appear in regular night trains. They will start connecting them to Wi-Fi next year.

According to the correspondent of OBOZ.UA, this was announced by the chairman of the board of "Ukrzaliznytsia" Oleksandr Pertsovskyi. "We plan to gradually add internet to night connections. We will work on this in 2025," stated the head of the railway transportation operator.

Pertsovskyi noted that the internet in trains might appear within a year. He recalled that Wi-Fi was previously launched in Intercity and Intercity+ trains. The technology is planned to equip 16 high-speed trains.

It is likely that, just like in Intercity, internet access in night trains will also be free of charge. However, earlier "Ukrzaliznytsia" emphasized that a fee for using Wi-Fi will not be charged as long as the technology is in trial operation. Thus, in the future, the service might become paid.

How to connect to Wi-Fi on the train?

During your journey, turn on Wi-Fi on your device. Select the network named WiFi test.

After this, a page of the on-board portal portal.uz.com.ua will open on your device with basic information about the trip and an electronic menu. There will be an option to leave feedback about the journey.
