Ukraine can forget about power outages, - expert

The absence of severe frosts and the end of the powerful anticyclone will contribute to the cancellation of blackout schedules, emphasized Stanislav Ihnatyev.

Electricity blackout schedules in Ukraine may be canceled by the end of this week. Light will not be turned off provided there are no new massive attacks from Russia, completion of emergency work, and favorable weather. This was reported by energy expert, Chairman of the Council of the Ukrainian Renewable Energy Association Stanislav Ihnatyev on the air of Kyiv24.

Ignatiev noted that currently, in most regions of the country, electricity restrictions are in effect only in the morning and evening, and only for one queue of household consumers. According to him, this is a relatively good indicator of the state of the power system.

"It is expected that if there are no massive shellings, we will complete some emergency work by the end of this week... This will allow us not to apply schedules at the end of this week," predicted the expert.

Ignatiev also clarified that weather conditions will improve the situation, as no severe frosts are forecasted, and the powerful anticyclone currently affecting Ukraine will quickly leave the country’s territory. This will allow energy workers to avoid additional loads on the system, which in turn will contribute to the cancellation of electricity blackout schedules.
