North Korea is transferring missiles to Russia, which Moscow uses against peaceful Ukrainian cities. This poses a serious threat to the industry of our country, as well as directly to the civilian population.
This was highlighted by the representative of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Andriy Chernyak.
He reported this in an interview for Radio Svoboda.
In response to a question regarding Russia’s use of KN-23 ballistic missiles to strike Ukrainian territory, Chernyak noted that it is currently known that the Kremlin has used about 60 North Korean-made missiles against our country, acquired through cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang.
According to him, outdated technologies are used for the production of KN-23 missiles, so “their accuracy is not very high.” At the same time, speaking about the artillery ammunition that Russia receives from North Korea, Chernyak emphasized that it is about millions of units.
"We constantly observe the movement of goods, containers. We do not rule out that there may be artillery ammunition, which North Korea produces and which are already in its warehouses. Yes, this is also a great danger for Ukraine," he stated.
The representative of Ukrainian intelligence stressed that, despite Russia having its own military capabilities, it additionally uses ammunition of North Korean production.
