"Ukrzaliznytsia" has launched the operation of a new special train to the mountains


"Ukrzaliznytsia" has launched the traditional tourist train "Ski Express." It will run from Darnytsia station in Kyiv to Slavske in the Lviv region. The first trip is scheduled for December 19. The ticket price for first class on the December 19 trip from Darnytsia is 902.46 UAH.

This was reported by the carrier itself. They noted:

the train has been given number 743/744; a high-speed Hyundai train will operate the service.

"From December 19, the traditional seasonal Intercity+ No. 743/744 Darnytsia – Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi – Lviv – Slavske will head to the mountains. This high-speed Hyundai is the perfect option for those who want to quickly and comfortably reach the ski resort at the height of the season," the statement says.

It is also emphasized that thanks to the "Ski Express," regional trains №804/806 Rivne – Lviv "will provide convenient transfer connections to the express to Slavske."

Train schedule

As explained by "Ukrzaliznytsia," the train will depart from Darnytsia at 05:50. From Kyiv – at 06:19. From Lviv – at 12:09. Arrival in Slavske – at 14:03.

Departure from Slavske – at 14:26. From Lviv – at 16:30. Arrival in Kyiv – at 22:28. To Darnytsia – at 23:00.

Ticket prices

Tickets for train 743/744 Darnytsia – Slavske for the December 19 trip from Darnytsia are sold in first and second-class carriages. The prices are as follows:

first class – 902.46 UAH; second class – 471.25 UAH.

"Ukrzaliznytsia" has appointed a new train abroad

At the same time, "Ukrzaliznytsia" has launched a direct daily train Kyiv – Budapest. The first trip will depart on December 15, and the ticket price is about 3000 UAH. They noted: train №9/10 will operate with standard sleeping carriages: coupe (4 places) and luxe (2 places). The cost of tickets in a coupe on the train from Kyiv to Lviv (for the December 8 trip) is 767.09 UAH.

"The appointment of this route was preceded by much diplomatic work to ensure that no fewer than 8 wide carriages per trip could deliver Ukrainians to and from the capital of Hungary. Ferenc Liszt Airport, the largest airport in the region, is located here, with many of its flights now synchronized with the Ukrainian train," the statement says.

As explained by "Ukrzaliznytsia," the train will depart from Kyiv daily at 10:16. Arrival in Budapest – at 06:00.

From Budapest, the train will depart at 22:40. Arrival in Kyiv – at 19:11.

"The schedule is designed so that passengers can conveniently transfer to trains heading to Vienna (the journey will take less than three hours), Salzburg, Munich, Innsbruck, Zurich, as well as towards Romania, Slovenia, and other European countries. The waiting time between transfers is no more than two hours," noted "Ukrzaliznytsia."
