According to the military officer, a cessation of hostilities is likely to occur, but not a truce.
Ukrainians should not harbor illusions that in the event of negotiations and a possible truce, the war will end.
This position was expressed by Captain Robert Brovdi, with the call sign "Madyar," who will soon become the commander of the brigade "OBRUBAS" (formerly the 414th Separate Regiment of Strike UAV Systems).
"Those who are sitting on their couches now are delighted when we retake something - Kharkiv region, Kherson. But when the map is red and the enemy is constantly advancing, they criticize. Have you forgotten who we are fighting against? Have you forgotten about the dominance of the enemy force, about our concerned, anxious, but not very active partnership? The partnership support that constantly reacts to geopolitics and various internal arrangements, rather than to our real needs..." - noted "Madyar".
When a journalist asked the military officer if he believes in a truce, he replied: "I believe in our strength. Because it’s not a truce, it’s a cessation of hostilities, and this situation is possible. Especially if the world talks about us and that Ukraine is ready for negotiations. Isn’t that a call to the aggressor, proof that we’ve run out of steam and are ready to negotiate? And if we are ready to negotiate, it will surely not be on our terms. But I believe in our strength, in what we have. A cessation is possible, not the end. And there’s no need for rose-colored glasses," emphasized the captain.
