Armed Forces of the Russian Federation attacked the key village of Terny near Lyman and Siversk

Russian troops attacked the strategically important village of Terny near Lyman and Siversk and occupied its central part.

This was reported by a Ukrainian serviceman with the call sign "Muchnyi".

This information is confirmed by other Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters.

"The situation in Terny is difficult... Over the past week, it has significantly worsened, the village, which was already destroyed, is now completely devastated by airstrikes, and there’s practically nowhere to hold," writes an officer with the call sign "Alex".

According to him, new units of Russian infantry are being deployed into the village, and "the outlook is not very optimistic".

"The settlement of Terny is very important for us because its control determines the fate of the entire Siversk direction, without exaggeration," the soldier added.

The capture of Terny on the left bank of the Zherebets River indeed poses a threat to the northern flank of Siversk’s defence.

However, changes in Terny have not yet been reflected on Ukrainian military maps.
