Olha Reshetylova (Kobylynska) has been appointed as the Presidential Commissioner for the Protection of Military Personnel Rights in Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the relevant decree.
This was reported by the head of the Ukrainian state on Telegram.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Reshetylova is a well-known, experienced, and effective human rights advocate.
"She has already done a lot for the development of our state institutions and the support of Ukrainians," the president added.
He noted that the main task is to develop, together with the Ministry of Defence and civil society, a draft law on the military ombudsman and all necessary principles for the operation of this institution.
"Our soldiers must have effective tools to protect their rights, and real modernization of personnel management in the Ukrainian Defence Forces must take place. Thank you to all who contribute to this," Zelenskyy clarified.
