The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has confirmed that it is currently conducting an investigation into the violations described in the media concerning the 155th mechanized brigade "Anna of Kyiv".
This was reported by the communications advisor to the SBI director, Tetyana Sapyan.
According to Sapyan, the SBI is studying the facts presented as part of a criminal investigation under Articles 426-1 (Excess of authority or official powers by a military person) and 408 (Desertion) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Currently, the investigation is ongoing, but it is premature to discuss preliminary results.
Let us recall that earlier, journalist Yuriy Butusov reported that in December 2024, the SBI opened a criminal case related to the circumstances surrounding the formation of the 155th mechanized brigade "Anna of Kyiv", which engaged in battle near Pokrovsk. According to his data, one of the officials responsible for the creation of the brigade died of a heart attack, and the brigade commander was dismissed immediately after the brigade entered combat. Before the first shot, 1700 military personnel left the brigade without authorization, and during the training stage in France, more than 50 soldiers fled.
