In Ukraine, about 950,000 people are exempt from military service, - Shmyhal

As of today, approximately 900–950 thousand people in Ukraine are subject to exemption from mobilization, stated Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal while speaking in the Verkhovna Rada.

According to him, such a number of exempted personnel is acceptable and does not have a critical impact on the mobilization process.

Notably, similar reservation figures were recorded before the government’s decision in October, when President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s decree suspended booking. At that time, mass inspections of enterprises began in order to identify schemes to evade mobilization.
