President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy supported the idea of involving Western peacekeeping contingents as one of the elements of the country’s security guarantees.
According to him, this issue has already been discussed with French President Emmanuel Macron and other partners.
«We support that the contingent of allied countries can become part of the security guarantee system for Ukraine. Currently, this is at the level of general discussions, but we will continue the dialogue with British and Baltic partners, as well as other allies. It is important to develop a comprehensive map of security guarantees for our country, part of which could be a military contingent,» noted Zelenskyy.
