Ukrainian military expert Kostyantyn Mashovets believes that the situation around Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region is "approaching its logical conclusion."
According to him, the capture of Neskuchne and Vremivka by the enemy has significantly worsened the prospects for the successful defence of this settlement. "The three-sided encirclement has made holding Velyka Novosilka, if not impossible, then extremely unlikely," the expert noted.
He added that even if a decision is made to withdraw from Velyka Novosilka, organizing a successful retreat would be extremely difficult.
