Yuriy Boyko, politician and former Minister of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine, has been stripped of the title Hero of Ukraine.
The corresponding decision was made as part of the ongoing process of reviewing state awards.
This title was awarded to Boyko in the summer of 2004 by President Leonid Kuchma. At that time, he was awarded the "State" order with the wording: "for outstanding personal services to the Ukrainian state in the development of the fuel and energy complex, many years of dedicated work".
