The Ukrainian Defence Forces shot down 72 Russian drones, with another 59 decoy drones lost locationally.

From 8:00 PM on Monday, January 20, Russian troops launched an attack on Ukraine using 131 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various decoy drones flying from directions: Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk. They also used four Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defence Forces of Ukraine repelled this air assault.
As of 9:00 AM on Tuesday, January 21, the downing of 72 Shahed-type UAVs and drones of other types has been confirmed in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhya, and Rivne regions.
59 enemy decoy drones were lost without negative consequences.
In the Poltava and Cherkasy regions, institutions, farm buildings, and private houses were damaged. Special services are working to mitigate the aftermath. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties or injuries.
