"Diya" has resumed accepting applications for online marriage

Through "Diya," you can once again submit a marriage application online.

This was announced by Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for Innovations, Development of Education, Science, and Technology, and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

"Only in Ukraine is it possible to complete the marriage process entirely online: from submitting an application via the app to receiving the certificate. This means there’s no need to travel anywhere, gather documents, or search for folders for papers to become husband and wife. The revolutionary service has returned to ’Diya.’ If your wedding was scheduled during the time the service was unavailable, don’t worry, our team will contact you and explain the next steps. I also remind you about the creative way to propose marriage. Propose in the app and receive a digital ’Yes.’ Share your joy on social media; we have ensured your beautiful stories when creating this service. Fewer words, more love. Propose and plan your wedding with ’Diya,’" the message states.

The entire marriage registration procedure is again available without queues, paperwork, and from anywhere.

After the online marriage, certificates will automatically appear in ’Diya’ if:

- the State Register of Civil Status Acts of Citizens contains information about the certificate, and the document includes the tax number;

- you are a citizen of Ukraine who has reached the age of 14 and have a verified tax number.
