Another child has been returned from the temporarily occupied left-bank part of the Kherson region. An 8-year-old boy was relocated to the Ukraine-controlled territory.
This was reported by the Telegram of the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
"The eight-year-old boy, who was under Russian occupation pressure in left-bank Kherson, is finally on Ukraine-controlled territory," Prokudin noted.
In his opinion, the child was returned thanks to the persistent work of the Office of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights as part of the implementation of the approved action plan of the President of Ukraine "Bring Kids Back UA."
The boy and his grandmother were forced to obtain Russian documents, and the child was sent to the occupation school. However, he continued to secretly study online in a Ukrainian educational institution.
"Fortunately, they are no longer in danger. The grandmother and the grandson are receiving the necessary assistance," added the head of the Regional State Administration.
As Prokudin noted, since the beginning of 2025, two children have been returned to Ukraine-controlled territory from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region.
