Zhorin commented on the transition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to a corps structure

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the transition to a new organizational structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Deputy Commander of the 3rd Operational Battalion Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Maksym Zhorin expressed his reaction to this decision.

He noted that the decision to transition to corps in the Ukrainian army has been pending for a long time and is convinced that it is now necessary to achieve effective results. At the same time, he added that corps in Ukraine have existed before.

"But there was almost no point in this structure because it was quite a formal administrative superstructure over brigades. And units belonging to one corps were located on completely different sections of the front. Effective coordination was simply impossible," Zhorin noted.

The military officer is convinced that all military units that belong to a certain corps should fight in one direction.

"I hope the new organizational structure of the military will take into account all past mistakes," he added.
