The Armed Forces of Ukraine are expecting a major reform, — journalist

According to war correspondent Yuriy Butusov, the first corps of the Ground Forces will be created on the basis of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade and will be led by Andriy Biletskyi. Drastic changes are expected for the marines and the rapid response forces of the Air Force.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will soon undergo reforms: the Ukrainian command intends to create up to 20 army corps to scale the best brigades.

This was reported by Yuriy Butusov, citing his own sources.

Each corps will be assigned a specific area of responsibility, with one corps supervising at least five brigades. Currently, the AFU consists of six corps: the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th army corps, as well as the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Forces and the 30th Marine Corps.

"Such a large number of corps is a real reform," explained the journalist.

All existing corps will be restructured and will no longer be solely administrative units in the rear. Operational-strategic, operational-tactical, and tactical groups will be disbanded, and the corps will take control of the front line.

"Some corps will have an area of responsibility up to 150 kilometers," added Butusov.
